Meet The Founder
I have always loved people.
My earliest memories are filled with people from different nations around the world. From a very young age, I was welcomed into their homes and invited to learn about their cultures, traditions, and ways of life. I loved sitting around different family tables, tasting international foods, listening to different languages when spoken, and watching customs unfold. Discovering the quiet beauty that every culture carries was an enriching experience.
I was adopted at birth into an Irish and Ghanaian family. A kind woman I have never known gave me life; my family and extended family gave me a home, a heritage, and a world immersed in love. From my earliest years, my life unfolded between Southern Africa and Europe, even before I could walk. Before I reached the age of ten, my journey had already extended to Asia and Australia.
Growing up within diplomatic and international communities, diversity was never an idea to me. It was simply life.
My childhood friends came from every corner of the world, spanning Israel, Ireland, Ethiopia, Sudan, Uganda, Greece, Morocco, France, Cote d'Ivoire, Italy, Sierra Leone, the US, Canada, Brazil, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Kenya, Botswana, Zimbabwe, India, the Netherlands, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Poland, Latvia, Switzerland, to name just a few. I attended seven schools, and most of my classrooms reflected what felt like the United Nations. Every one of them taught me something new about humanity, about courage, and about people with dreams who pursued them.
My skin's hue, a rich mahogany, was lovingly embraced by my family, but it was—and remains—only a small part of the story of who I am.

My upbringing was multicultural. My predominant culture is Irish, shaped by my mother, my extended family, and the warmth, humor, integrity, and generosity that have always been part of my family life. Alongside this, I have held a deep respect for my father's Ghanaian heritage, with its strong sense of family, community, and respect for elders.
As I look back, I also recognize that many of my closest friendships have been within Asian communities. From Indian and Korean close friends during my early boarding school years, to the wonderfully international friendships of my American International school, and to close Singaporean and Malaysian friends at university, these relationships quietly shaped my understanding of belonging.
When I reflect on the cultures that have influenced me most deeply, I see remarkable similarities between them. Whether Irish, Ghanaian, or many Asian cultures, I have encountered a shared warmth, a deep sense of community, genuine hospitality, respect for elders, beautiful traditions, and an understanding that people should be treated with dignity. Those values have become part of who I am and continue to shape how I navigate the world.
As a result of this rich heritage, home has never been defined by a single geographical location. Home has been wherever love was found, wherever relationships were built, wherever people welcomed one another with kindness, and wherever life was shared.
Perhaps that is why I have never been interested in placing people into boxes.
Every person carries a story.
Every people group carries wisdom.
Every culture reflects something beautiful about humanity.

Over the years, I have come to realize that these experiences were quietly shaping the vision for what would eventually become nüe®.
It has taught me to remain curious. To listen before assuming. To value character over appearances. To see every encounter as an opportunity to learn.
That same curiosity continues to shape me today.
It is why I continue learning new spoken and written languages. Fluent in English and French, I am currently learning Korean and Japanese.
It is why I admire the beauty found in every people group, every culture, and every nation.
It is why nüe® exists.
nüe® is not simply a collection of beautiful things.
It is a reflection of a life shaped by extraordinary people from many nations, and an invitation to experience the beauty, dignity, and care they so generously shared with me.
My hope is that, as you enter this space, you experience a little of what I have been privileged to experience throughout my own life.
That every person is welcomed with dignity.
That every people group and every culture is honored as a blessing in God's sight.
This is the world that shaped me.
It is now my privilege to share a small part of it with you.
